WD-40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak removes rust without acids or caustic chemicals. Simply submerge the part: light rust in 30 minutes, medium rust overnight (8 hours), heavy rust up to 24 hours. The surface returns to clean bare metal ready to paint, without harming surrounding rubber, plastic and paint. The solution can be reused until it turns black.
